Hiya Divas! Well, we are on DAY 3 of the 31 Days to clean challenge. See more about the challenge and how to download the book here.
31 Days to Clean is about the “why”, the vision and the heart for taking care of our homes. Each day, the author, Sara Mae, encourages you with some thoughts and ideas, and then she encourages you put those ideas to action.
After each day’s reading, Sara Mae gives two challenges:
- The Mary Challenge -Something you do that encourages/engages your heart
- The Martha Challenge – Specific cleaning tasks
The lesson for day 3 piggy-backed off of day 2 which was about bringing life to our children, husbands, and environments.
The Mary Challenge for today is to ask our family what makes them feel most loved when it comes to us caring for our homes.
Divas, I asked my husband this question and he responded…when you cook and when you have everything neat when I get home from a business trip. Awwwwwh right?
Well, the cleaning after a business trip thing is not so bad but ME COOKING? eeeeeeeeeeek! I cook, but totally out of necessity. I don’t enjoy cooking and I do NOT consider myself a great cook yet he feels most loved when I COOK. Wow!
So I guess more cooking is in my future. HEELLLPPPP!!!
The Martha Challenge for today is to dust off the top of the refrigerator, cabinets and shelves. Also clean and shine the outsides of drawers and cabinets.
I must have a TON of cabinets. I couldn’t get to them all today but I did finish the ones in the girls’ bathroom!
Can we say DUST ELEPHANTS on top of the fridge? (Hoarders might be calling!)
How can you give life to your environment today?
